Black Japanese House Design

This really cool architecture and design, beautiful but the only problem with this house would be the lack of vertical wall space to hang art. This pyramid house designed by Suppose Design Office, this house inspired by the earliest house in Japanese architecture called pit dwelling or “tateana jukyo”. The house located in Saijo, Hiroshima, Japan. The hill around the house gives privacy but still allows natural lighting.

Green House Designs

This site features an architect-created green house plan that was designed from the ground up to be energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

The inspiration for the plan came from a growing awareness that new houses were getting bigger and bigger but with little redeeming design merit. The problem is that comfort has almost nothing to do with how big a space is. It is attained, rather, by tailoring our houses to fit the way we really live, and to the scale and proportions of our human form.

Sustainable House Design

The Blue House is designed by Dutch architect Pieter Weijnen of FARO Architecten. It’s located on Steigereiland, one of seven artificial islands dredged from Amsterdam’s lJ Lake in IJburg. Its color reminds deep-blue waters that surround it and that’s how it gets its name. The house designed with sustainable use of energy in mind. The large façade facing south allows a lot of light and heat.

The cooling system is inspired by old Arabian cooling towers. Air from the house is pumped into an underground pipe from which the cooled air will be led back to the house. Rain water is re-used for the toilet and washing machine. The building is constructed in wood and recycled materials. The beams in the façade are old bollards from the IJ lake. The copper plates on the suspended living room are from a church roof.

Cool Garden and Roof Terrace Design in Contemporary Style

This project is designed by Amir Schlezinger as an extension of the London house’s interior outside. Both the garden and roof terrace serves very well for that. The benches reiterate the shape of the indoor fireplace, while the Ipe hardwood continues the lines of the flooring. The granite in the waterfall increases in size while alternating texture and alignment, producing a captivating flow.

Romantic Bedroom Decorating

“The current trend in bedroom furnishings is leaning away from the standard set of a bed, two nightstands and a few dressers all of the same style and collection, towards a more romanced and eclectic combination of pieces to create a personal refuge or escape,” said Greg Mononen, product developer for Arhaus Furniture, a 20-store lifestyle furniture retailer. “People are adding romantic elements to their bedrooms in their furniture, wall colors, fabrics and accessories,” he added.
